Charting a Course to Global Connectivity: Tuas Port Development
The Tuas Port Visitor Centre is a private gallery located in Tuas offering a firsthand look at MPA's innovative initiatives, commitment to sustainable development, and leadership in engineering excellence.

Problem Statement
To conceptualise and design a wheelchair-friendly space and install exhibits for the centre.
The Goal
To attract and retain the attention of invited visitors and to help them better understand the features and benefits of the future Tuas Port.
Approach
We divided the gallery into 4 zones, each illustrating a different focus of MPA's effort, running from planning to plan fruition; innovations to the future-ready workforce. The exhibit mix also varies more as visitors move through the zones.
To ensure the gallery remained accessible and accommodating for visitors with disabilities, each zone gets progressively more spacious and less linear than the previous one.

Entrance:
As visitors enter, they are greeted by a backlit 'pop-up' display of future Tuas Port with LED backlight. Zone divider will point in the direction of the next zone.

An overview of the spatial approach and narration flow:
-
Zone 1 - talking about Tuas Port coming into fruition;
-
Zone 2 & 3 – showcasing the future Tuas Port and its innovation technologies;
-
Zone 4 – the positive outlook for the future
